Melina enjoys working with seniors and helping them enjoy their retirement with the freedom of mobility and strength. She always makes her clients laugh and focuses on helping her them reach their strength and flexibility goals! Melina has a great deal of experience with ACL pre and post surgery, meniscus injuries, sprained Ankles, Plantar Fasciitis, Muscle Strains/Tears, and Rotator Cuff Strains/Impingements that are common in the athletic population and weekend warrior. Melina loves to use Manual Therapy skills, Mobilizations, and a stimulating strength programming to treat shoulder pain, elbow pain such as tennis elbow. She also has great success with common knee injuries from sports strains, work strains, and arthritis.
Melina has worked both in clinical and field settings. Clinical settings include organizations such as Humber Hospital rehabilitation. Sports teams include Ryerson’s volleyball and ice hockey teams, University of Toronto’s soccer and volleyball teams, and York University’s Soccer team. Melina has attended Ontario University Athletics finals and Nationals multiple times. She volunteered with the Canadians Women Hockey League in 2016.
Melina earned a Specialized Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences along with Athletic Therapy at York University in 2020. She is currently completing her degree in Osteopath for February 2021. Melina is a certified personal trainer and aquafitness instructor.
In her spare time, she loves to play soccer, swim, travel, and spend time with family, and friends.
