A passion rooted in physical health and mental wellness is what drives Sandean, a Kinesiology and Psychology Bachelor’s of Health Science Graduate from The University of Western Ontario. She is a Kinesiologist, Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Trainer and a Registered 200 Hour Vinyasa Yoga Instructor. Sandean’s goal is to efficiently provide tools for individuals to strengthen and condition their body while maintaining safe spinal alignment and breathing awareness. Sandean believes that a combination of proper breathing techniques while practicing physical exercises to engage the body in strength and conditioning provides a safe and grounding place to perform rehabilitation.
Sandean has gained hands-on experience as a sports yoga coach working with soccer, basketball, volleyball as well as track and field athletes for Western University Mustang Sports, Grassroots Canada, Crestwood Preparatory College and PureSkills Athletics. These sessions were tailored for athletic recovery and repair through various yoga postures and sequences. She has worked in the clinical setting as a Kinesiologist and Exercise Therapist, providing weekly rehabilitation for individuals with Lower Back and Shoulder discomfort, Plantar Fasciitis, Rotator Cuff Tears, Meniscus Tears, Knee and Hip Replacement Rehabilitation, Sports Rehabilitation, Stroke, Parkinson’s and Neuropathy. Sandean loves working with populations who wish to become more physically active and aims to incorporate a blend of joint mobilizations, breathing techniques and physical exercises in a way that can become a lifestyle to recovery.
In her leisure time Sandean loves to practice yoga, play badminton, explore new cultures and listen to audiobooks.
