Certified Athletic Therapist
Stacey graduated with High Honours from Sheridan College in 2017, earning a Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy. In the same year she successfully challenged the national exam and became a Certified Athletic Therapist.
Stacey has worked with athletes from the University of Toronto, St Michaels College School and Woodbine Racetrack providing on-field assessments, acute injury treatment, prophylactic taping, and emergency first responder services for a variety of sports including volleyball, soccer, rugby, lacrosse, hockey, field hockey, football and horse racing.
In terms of clinical experience, Stacey has enjoyed treating a variety of clientele of all ages and abilities during her time at the McIntosh Sports Medicine Clinic, Be In Motion Physiotherapy, Centre for Sports and Recreation Medicine and Rosedale Wellness Centre.
Within her treatment sessions Stacey likes to blend a combination of manual therapy; which includes soft tissue work, joint mobilization and therapist assisted stretching, with exercise therapy; focusing on core stability and functional strength elements that translate into everyday life. Her goal is to help patients to achieve their rehab and fitness goals with a sense of enjoyment and levity.
